Welcome to the website of Besses o’th’ Barn Band. This world-famous brass band has been in existence since 1818, during the reign of George IV. Initially formed as Clegg’s Reed Band and eventually converting to all brass in 1853 under the current name of the village, just 8 miles north of Manchester.
